Whenever I see stills of Ben and Michael together? I always think they look so real! I mean, not so much like characters. The way Ben's always touching Michael is my main motivation for saying that. And yes, I'm not crazy! I know they were a fictional couple, written by writers, etc. But I'm just saying, I have to think they were also good actors. Particularly, Bobby - lookit the way his hand rests on the leg and .... *explodes* Gah. I love them.
I know EXACTLY what you mean and I think the same. He always has his hand on Michael in some way and, you watch during the show, he caresses Michael's arm or neck on so many occassions, and it looks just so perfectly natural. And wash your mouth out saying they are fictional, of course they are not, they are as real as we want them to be..I mean Michael lives in my head 90% of my day
I think so, too. I love the details they had together as a couple. I mean here a hand, there a mouth e.g. in Woody's, after Michael heard the news about Ben and Brian, Ben played with Michael's hair in his neck. It's like a secret caress. These details make it more "real". Ok., they are both actors but I think that Robert is actually gay is a big part of the thing. He's more comfortable to touch in ways which are quite normal if you're a couple and because Hal wasn't that familiar with gay relationships (although they're not so different)it became less tensed all in all. *want to switch the tv on and see the 2nd season again*
I do think that Gant's sexuality might have a lot to do with it. But either way? The subtle things that fangirls like us notice make a huge difference. :) You know? I appreciate the way that he puts his hand on Michael's back, etc. It's so ... real.
