Some Help Plse FList!

I am trying to edit some of my entries in my fic journal, and when I do so, by putting double spacing between conversations and paragraphs and it shows it like that when I do it, when I go to preview it the spaces are not showing up.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong please. I have never had this problem before.

You can see an example of what I mean here. It is impossible to read like this and as I have about 10 fics I need to sort out, because when I originally posted them I did them with Rich Text instead of HTML and using a cut, I want to fix it.

Any help would be really really appreciated.
